Hey, nice to meet you!

I'm Melina aka Roxy Nightmare and a cosplayer, artist and self-taught costumer based in Dortmund, Germany. My first contact with cosplay was on a local fair in Essen '06. I did my very first cosplay in 2007 and had no prior skills in sewing nor costume building. Since then, I learned and self-taughed myself anything about sewing and crafting and over the years I found my affinity to (huge) dresses.

I make cosplays in genres of Anime/Manga, video games, movies and own creations. I visit a lot of different conventions and events yearly and travel through all Germany. My wish is to see conventions all over the globe and to improve my skills with every costume I make.

Wondering how I came to my pseudonym? It's no big deal at all. Back in the days my favourite game was Kingdom Hearts and my favourite character was Roxas. I also used his name in online games as my characters name and since I'm a girl, people transformed Roxas into Roxy. I just added "Nightmare" (I guess because I am attracted to villains) as sort of a surname ;).
